Who we are and how bookings work
Perks&Rec is a travel advisory and concierge service. When you become a member, plan a trip with us, or reach out through our site, we handle personal information to make that work. This policy applies to our website, our email communications, and the services we provide to members and corporate clients.
Your actual travel is booked through Fora Travel, Inc., the host agency our advisors work under. When we arrange a trip, booking details such as your passport information, payment details, and reservations are collected and processed through Fora's platform and disclosed to travel suppliers to fulfill your trip. That activity is governed by Fora's own privacy policy, available at foratravel.com/legal/privacy-policy, and by the privacy policies of the hotels, airlines, and other suppliers involved. We encourage you to review those policies for how the booking side of your trip is handled.
What we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
Contact and identity details: your name, email address, phone number, and mailing address.
Travel information: dates of birth, loyalty program numbers, trip preferences, dietary needs, and other details required to plan and arrange travel.
Payment information: billing details and payment card information. Payment for bookings is processed through Fora and our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
Sensitive personal information: where needed to arrange travel, government-issued identifiers such as passport numbers, and account credentials that let you access services you create with us. We handle this information with additional care and only as needed to provide the services you request.
Corporate client information: contact and company details for site selection, RFP management, and contract negotiation.
Website and marketing data: information collected automatically when you visit our site or engage with our ads and forms, including IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you found us.
How we collect it
We collect information directly from you when you sign up, fill out a form, plan travel, or contact us. We also collect it automatically through cookies and similar technologies when you use our site, and through lead forms and messaging tools we use to connect with you.
We use advertising and analytics tools from Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and LinkedIn, which place cookies and tracking pixels on our site. These help us understand how our ads perform and reach people who may be interested in our services.

Who we share it with
We share personal information with third parties only as needed to run our business:
Fora Travel and travel suppliers: we share booking-related information with Fora, our host agency, and with hotels, airlines, tour operators, insurers, and other providers necessary to arrange and deliver your travel.
Service providers who support our operations, including:
Email and marketing platforms (such as Loops).
Automation and data tools (such as Zapier and Notion).
Accounting and invoicing software (such as Zoho Books).
Business productivity tools (such as Google Workspace).
Advertising platforms (such as Meta and LinkedIn).
Our payment processors.
Professional advisors, such as lawyers and accountants, where needed.
In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Authorities or others when required by law or to protect our rights.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some sharing with advertising platforms may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under certain U.S. state privacy laws. See Your rights below for how to opt out. We do not sell or share sensitive personal information, or the personal information of anyone we know to be under 16, for targeted advertising.
Cookies and tracking
Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to make it work, to remember your preferences, and to measure and improve our marketing. This includes advertising pixels from Meta and LinkedIn. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of interest-based advertising through the platforms directly or through industry tools such as the Digital Advertising Alliance.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as we need it to provide our services, maintain your membership, meet legal and tax obligations, and resolve disputes. When we no longer need it, we securely delete or anonymize it.
How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including access controls and working with reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take safeguarding your data seriously, particularly sensitive travel and payment details.
International transfers
We are based in the United States and work with members and clients in Canada, the United States, and elsewhere. Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where required, we put appropriate protections in place for these transfers.
Your rights

To opt out of the sale or sharing of your information for targeted advertising, you can email us at privacy@perksandrec.com and set the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser or a browser extension. Where recognized by applicable law, we treat a GPC signal as a valid opt-out request for the browser and device you are using. Because these signals are device- and browser-specific, you will need to set them on each browser and device you use.
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any message. This does not affect messages we send about a booking or transaction you have requested.
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children's privacy
Our services are intended for adults. Travelers under 18 may use our services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian, and we collect information about minor travelers only as part of arranging travel for a family or group. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, notify you directly or through our website.
